There's no better time to delve into the sport of kayaking than when you're a kid. It's fun, good exercise, and educational! At H2Outfitters we feel strongly that kayaking can be a great kids activity and it opens the door to a world of discovery not easily obtainable any other way.

Through various on-water activities in the kayaks to exploring tide pools and small islands, the kids are exposed to an endless world of discoveries in our ocean environment. Each day we will paddle our kayaks to a new destination and along the way the kids will learn how to control the kayak, how to be safe on the water by staying together, and if they want even try towing one another. Of course, there will be opportunities to see seals, loons, osprey, cormorants and other marine life and time to collect sea glass, shells, and cool rocks. One cannot spend any time on the the coast of Maine without being fascinated by hermit crabs which become one of the highlights each year with the kids, often times naming their little buddies and having some hermit crab races. The three hour sessions fly by and the kids can’t wait to come back. Moms and Dads, we love to have you join us too, if you can spare a day or two. Just let us know. The camp is recommended for ages 8-12 years old. If your child falls outside these ranges please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate him or her.
