Join us for a relaxing lodge-based getaway on the shores of Lake George, known as the “Queen of Lakes” in the Adirondack National Park. September's crisp cool air provides a clarity to autumn's early colors that is hard to beat on the lake - the water is at its warmest, there are few tourists and, the days are still nice and warm. The perfect time to visit and explore by kayak.
This 32 mile long lake is flanked on both its east and west shores by stunning mountain ranges, offering spectacular views in all directions. At the end of each day we will return to our comfy accommodations, grab that hot shower and enjoy a freshly prepared dinner lakeside! We will have 3 full days to spend on the lake enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery, exploring the dozens of small islands of "The Narrows", and marveling at the magnificent homes and traditional Adirondack style lodges that sit at water's edge. Our home base for this adventure will be a waterfront based lodge in Bolton Landing with great water access for kayaking and wonderful opportunities to kick back on shore and admire the views. This is a rare find with its own little beach at water's level so we can easily launch the kayaks. We will be as flexible as possible with our daily itinerary to be sure to provide you with the best possible experience.
